Berghoff Fynbos has been a supplier of cut flowers and foliage for more than 40 years.  We have about 40 hectares of cultivated orchards, predominantly in the genus Protea but recently also expanding significantly in Leucospermum. As the orchards lie between 850 and 1000 metres above sea level, we are in a late production region. Our peak harvest season stretches from July to December, during which we harvest our main product, the Queen protea (P. magnifica), also known as Barbigera or Barbi. Porterville Mountain accounts for more than 90% of the South African production of Barbis, so this is by far our most important product. Our other main lines include P. grandiceps, Leucospermum ‘High Gold’, ‘Jelena’, ‘Super Gold’, ‘Bright Eyes’, ‘Veldfire’ and ‘Succession’, and Leucadendron ‘Gold Strike’. We have a number of selections of P. magnifica , or hybrids, marketed as ‘African Queen’, ‘African Didi’, ‘Didi’, ‘Snow Princess’ (a white Didi) as well as our premium ‘Ice Queen’ (white Barbi).
